tri colour strip.png

Enrolling your child at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School Biloela is as easy as following the steps below. Please note that enrolment at St Joseph's Biloela implies that parents want their child/ren to be educated in a faith community centred on Christ. Parents are expected to be familiar with the Mission Statement and in partnership with the school, uphold its values.

1. ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM

Complete an Enrolment Application located on the Catholic Education website for each child you wish to enrol. Please note that there are known issues with the form when using Safari, the default browser for Apple products. For this reason, we recommend completing this step using Google Chrome. Until such issues are resolved, it is best to use Google Chrome. If you have any further issues please do not hesitate to contact our School Office on 4992 2353 or email sjbi@rok.catholic.edu.au

2. ATTACH REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
To facilitate the enrolment process you will be required to attach some, or all, of the following items for each child in PDF format;

  • Birth Certificate or extract or identity documents

  • Baptismal Certificates (if Catholic or Christian)

  • Immunisation Certificate (only required for students enrolling in primary school for the first time)

  • Health Care or Concession Card (if applicable)

  • Guardian’s Driver License

  • Court orders / Parenting plans (if applicable)

  • Documents relating to additional needs (reports, health action plans, diagnosis etc)

  • Most recent school report and/or reference from previous school

  • Passport or visa (if your child is not an Australian citizen)

Certified copies of documents must be provided OR the original documents must be sited by school staff; who will arrange for copying of original documents where required.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Your enrolment application will be reviewed by school administration based upon the following considerations;

  • Enrolment into year levels other than Prep is dependent upon vacancies and the profile of the class at the time of enrolment.

  • Since the parish school exists to serve the Parish faith community, preference for enrolment will be given to Catholic children.

  • Children of other faiths are welcomed into our school community provided: the children will participate in the school Religious Education Program; there are sufficient vacancies; the ethos of this school is supported and the Catholic identity of the school is not compromised. The religious beliefs and traditions of these children will be respected.

  • Children with disabilities or special needs are welcomed provided that the school is able to cater adequately for their needs and the needs of the children in the associated classes.

  • Each family has an obligation to the payment of school fees to support the school in its endeavours to meet its financial commitments. Concessions on fees may be applied for and are reviewed at the commencement of each year or when financial circumstances change.
